How can you support St. John’s now?

St. John’s relies upon the generosity of our members to support the parish’s spiritual mission and corporeal needs. We have chosen to use PayPal to enable parishioners to support the parish via the web for times when you cannot make your pledge payment via the collection plate. Click on the “DONATE” button below to make a one-time donation or pledge payment to the parish. You will be re-directed to the Paypal site to make the donation. If you don’t already have a PayPal account, you’ll be asked to create one.

St. John’s Building Fund

The Vestry has opened a new bank account for Saint John’s ‘Building Fund’ which will be used exclusively for building & grounds improvements as approved by the Vestry. At this point, our most pressing priorities are the Parish House & Rectory roofs, as well as the Bowdoin gable end of the church, but the wish list is far longer. The new account was opened with a generous gift from a parishioner specifically for the roofs, and the vestry has also supplemented it with a portion of the Olivia Blazo bequest. Additionally, we are in the process of applying for a diocesan Stokes Loan to finance these major projects. The Building Fund thus creates a reserve to address on-going concerns of our physical plant without jeopardizing our operating funds. To assist in these efforts the Vestry is asking everyone – including you – to consider making a separate contribution apart from their pledge or weekly donation. Please use the Building Fund envelopes in the pews, and please do not combine pledge & Building Fund contributions on a single check as they need to be deposited to two different accounts.
